SENIOR PROJECT MANAGER / GTA

WSP is seeking skilled a Senior Project Manager to join our Buildings team in the Greater Toronto Area to thrive in this environment, you are most likely a trained architect or engineer, have at least 10 years’ experience in rail and transit construction and multi-discipline design project management, and are at ease in a leadership role.
The Project Manager ensures the success of the assigned projects by harnessing the necessary resources and managing their deployment to achieve our client’s objectives. There is no typical project. Responsibilities
  • Prepare proposals, project cost estimates and schedules for construction and design projects
  • Take ownership of the project delivery through all the project lifecycle phases
  • Be the key point of contact with the Client or on behalf of the Client on all technical and administrative matters
  • Liaise with project stakeholders and other relevant governing agencies
  • Manage the project budget, schedule, internal and external stakeholders, and quality
  • Coordinate the work of Contractors, designers, and other suppliers, both internal and external
  • Review contracts, design drawings and specifications for completeness, constructability, and alignment with project requirements
  • Resolve project issues through the identification of risk and implementation of mitigation measures
  • Perform all other tasks that will help accomplish the successful delivery of the project; and,
  • Contribute to knowledge transfer by providing functional guidance, peer review and mentoring
