WHAT WILL YOU BE DOING?
Here at Central Co-op, we’re on a mission to improve the way we do things so that we can deliver on our growth ambitions and deliver even more value for our members and customers.
As a Senior Project Manager, you’ll bring at least 5-7 years project management experience in co-ordinating the delivery of large-scale business / or IT change projects on behalf of multiple business functions.
Your key responsibilities will include:
Motivating and leading a matrix managed project delivery teamManaging delivery of the project with third party vendors and systems providers
Our project Managers care about what they do and why they do it – keeping one eye focused on delivery and the other on achieving the expected customer outcomes. As a Senior Project Manager, you’ll play an active role in leading, coaching and developing project team members within your own projects and those of the broader team.
HOW WILL I KNOW IF I AM RIGHT FOR THIS ROLE?
We are looking for someone who has significant experience of delivering complex technology related projects and thrive on organising people and tasks. Experience of the Retail and / or Funeral sectors is desirable.
The fact that you can plan and manage a project is not in doubt – but you also love leading people through change, helping stakeholders both inside and outside of organisations work together to deliver a common goal. You believe in working hard and bringing people with you on the journey (and maybe having a little fun along the way).
You love to make detailed plans but can easily explain even the most complex of things in a straightforward way so that everyone knows what’s going on. You’re great with words as well as numbers and can think through how best to engage colleagues at all levels across multiple departments.
Your experience may span multiple sectors and businesses, and you are likely to have also acquired operational experience along the way. Change doesn’t just happen. If you want to make a difference by being at the heart of it, then this is the role for you.
Project Management qualifications (waterfall or agile) and / or equivalent experience of working as a Project / Programme Manager in large scale change delivery is required for this role.
