Senior Project Manager - Civil Construction Location: Maui, Hawaii Reports to: Civil Operations Manager Employment Type: Full-Time Department: Civil Compensation: $150,000 - $200,000 (based on experience) The Opportunity Alpha Inc. is seeking a strategic, results-driven Senior Project Manager to lead project execution with clarity, urgency, and impact across our Civil Construction Operations on Maui. What You Will Do Lead and Elevate Project Teams Manage, mentor, and guide all project managers and engineers across active jobs. Provide leadership support, resolve conflicts, and ensure strategic alignment across teams. Drive Complex Projects to Completion Oversee project planning, scheduling, and execution across multiple concurrent jobs. Ensure all projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to quality expectations. Ensure Operational and Financial Control Monitor budgets, approve expenditures, and maintain financial targets. Allocate resources effectively across manpower, materials, and equipment. Maintain Strategic Communication Liaise with clients, internal stakeholders, and executive leadership to ensure clarity and satisfaction. Serve as the senior escalation point for critical issues and client-facing challenges. Champion Safety and Compliance Ensure all projects adhere to safety protocols, industry regulations, and company standards. Identify risks early and implement strategies to mitigate them. Foster Growth and Continuous Improvement Offer coaching and development opportunities for team members. Analyze performance and implement best practices to enhance project efficiency. What You Bring 8–10+ years of experience in project management within the construction industry, including at least 5 years in a senior leadership role. Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field (preferred). Proven track record of leading large teams and managing complex, multi-site construction projects. Strong communication skills—with internal teams, executives, clients, and stakeholders. Mastery of project scheduling, budgeting, and forecasting. Proficiency with project management tools and Microsoft Office Suite. Calm under pressure and skilled at navigating ambiguity with focus and resolve. Commitment to excellence, safety, and high-performance culture. PMP certification (preferred). Preferred Skills & Experience Experience working in Hawaii or similar remote island project environments. Familiarity with platforms like Procore, HCSS, or comparable project tracking tools.
