What this job involves: We are seeking a skilled and motivated Assistant Project Manager with expertise in both Civil Engineering and Interior Design to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will assist in managing projects from conception to completion, ensuring high-quality delivery of both civil works and interior finishes. This role specifically requires experience in soft drinks manufacturing industry projects to understand the unique requirements of beverage production facilities. This position requires a unique blend of technical knowledge, design appreciation, project management skills, and industry-specific expertise. What your day-to-day will look like: Assist the Project Manager in overseeing both civil engineering aspects and interior design elements of construction projects, with specific focus on soft drinks manufacturing facilities. Help develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and resource allocation plans for civil and interior works tailored to beverage manufacturing requirements. Coordinate with architects, engineers, designers, contractors, and clients to ensure seamless integration of civil and interior components while maintaining compliance with food & beverage industry standards. Review and interpret civil engineering drawings, interior design plans, specifications, and other technical documents specific to manufacturing environments. Monitor progress of civil works and interior installations, ensuring adherence to project timelines, quality standards, and budget constraints while meeting industry hygiene and safety protocols. Assist in managing change orders, RFIs (Requests for Information), and submittals related to both civil and interior aspects of projects with understanding of manufacturing process requirements. Participate in site inspections to oversee civil works progress and interior finish quality ensuring compliance with food safety and manufacturing standards. Help coordinate material procurement and delivery for both civil and interior elements suitable for beverage production environments. Assist in ensuring compliance with building codes, safety regulations, environmental standards, and food & beverage industry regulations for all aspects of the project. Support the preparation of progress reports, presentations, and other project documentation. Help manage relationships with vendors, subcontractors, and consultants involved in civil works and interior finishes with expertise in manufacturing facilities. Assist in resolving technical issues and conflicts that arise during project execution in manufacturing environments. Desired or preferred experience and technical skills: Minimum 20 years experience with at least 5-7 years specifically in soft drinks/beverage manufacturing industry projects B.Tech - Mechanical/Electrical/Civil Experience with food-grade facility construction and design requirements Knowledge of beverage manufacturing processes and facility needs Understanding of FDA/FSSAI regulations and compliance requirements Experience with clean room environments and hygiene protocols Required Skills and Experience: Project planning and scheduling Budget management and cost control Risk assessment and mitigation Quality control and assurance for both civil and interior works in manufacturing environments Stakeholder management and communication Technical document review and interpretation Contract administration basics Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite Knowledge of construction materials and methods for both civil and interior applications suitable for beverage manufacturing Understanding of stainless steel fabrication, food-grade materials, and specialized flooring systems Familiarity with utility requirements for beverage manufacturing (compressed air, steam, water treatment systems) Time management and prioritization Estimated compensation for this position is: The salary listed is an estimate and not guaranteed.
