SUMMARY:

The Senior Project Manager manages key client projects and work orders. Project management responsibilities encompass the coordination and timely completion of projects and work orders, ensuring they are executed within budget and scope. Oversee all aspects of projects and work orders. Set deadlines, assign responsibilities, and monitor and summarize the project’s progress. Prepare reports for upper management on the project’s status.
Work directly with clients to ensure deliverables fall within the applicable scope and budget.
Reports to Construction Division Manager. Enhance department and organizational reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and diverse requests, exploring opportunities to add value alongside department growth.

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

· BS/BA degree in Construction Management, Construction Science, Engineering, or related field experience.
· 15+ years of experience in Commercial Construction or related field, overseeing projects and personnel
· 5-10 years as a Senior Project Manager, accountable for other PMs and their performance
· 7-10 years of experience as a project manager with projects ranging from $200k through $10MM
· 5-10 years of experience in Estimating Commercial Electrical construction projects
· PMP Certification from an accredited institution
· High-level leadership skills include problem resolution, conflict resolution, collaboration, and performance management processes
· Excellent communication and management skills
· Experienced in mitigating risk on projects
· Strong ability to prioritize, multitask, and deliver results on time and budget
· Proficient in MS Suite products, specifically Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint

Pay: $130,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year

Responsibilities
  • Review project budget and scope for accuracy and familiarity.
  • Develop/maintain a network of clientele and professional relationships within our industry.
  • Follow and comply with all SWECS written policies and procedures.
  • Oversee Pre-Construction meetings and follow through to ensure a successful handoff from estimate or quote to the field.
  • Meet with clients to take detailed ordering briefs and clarify specific requirements of each project for the proposal and layout.
  • Coordinate with scheduling for installation dates and manpower requirements.
  • Manage and prepare project submittals, billings, schedules, RFI’s, Change Orders, projections, and all other aspects necessary for a successful project.
  • Inspect and review projects to monitor compliance with project budgets, rates, schedules, quality controls, design intent, building, and safety codes, and other regulations.
  • Review and monitor job costs versus budgets for maximum profitability.
  • Prepare a schedule of values for all monthly project billings.
  • Manage and schedule all job permitting, inspections, and closeout procedures.
  • Manage and produce all documentation needed for project completion.
  • Lead or participate in project meetings
  • Participate in engineering, design, and construction review processes as necessary.
  • Coordinate work with Purchasing to ensure that requested material is expedited and received as needed for the construction of a project.
  • Resolve inter-group conflicts, project conflicts, and delays as required to meet project and work order construction goals.
  • Coordinate project installations with other trades to resolve critical and time-sensitive issues.
  • Lead and conduct value-engineering studies of alternative design approaches for sales and installation of services.
  • Interpret plans, specifications, drawings, and documents related to engineering and construction.
  • Conduct post-project reviews to determine areas for future improvement.
  • Maintain and improve existing standards and guidelines, implementing industry and company best practices.
  • Negotiate and resolve project or customer concerns.
  • Ensure the estimated cost is optimized by providing accurate project layouts and bills of material takeoffs with constructability and operability needs.
  • Interact closely with internal teams to ensure that project objectives are met.
  • Ensure that all jobs are completed to the customers’ satisfaction, keeping safety as a priority.
  • Respond and assist in emergencies, along with supervision of client electrical shutdowns.
