The opportunity The Power Projects team is vastly growing; we’re now seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to join. The Senior Project Manager is responsible for the delivery of assigned projects in a safe, timely, cost effective and innovative manner. The successful incumbent can envision themselves attending to duties such as: What you’ll do * Drive end-to-end delivery of substation, transmission and BESS projects * Lead tender submissions through to execution and project close-out * Own scope, design coordination and construction methodology across complex power assets * Develop and manage WBS, project schedules, budgets and cost forecasts * Ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget and to quality standards * Champion Zero Harm and ensure compliance with Downer standards and governance * Provide accurate, timely financial reporting on all direct and indirect costs * Deliver consistent, high-quality reporting within required timeframes What we offer * Competitive remuneration with a significant ASX-listed company * Structured career paths with the opportunity to work in different areas of the Utilities business, supported by a robust Commercial Operating Model * A suite of health and wellness benefits and initiatives, including EAP Beyond Blue * Access to Perks@Downer, which offers discounts and savings on various products, including retail items, travel deals, and entertainment options * We are a Tier 1 ASX listed company with in-house capabilities that far exceed traditional contractor environments What we’re looking for * Diploma qualification in Project Management and Engineering Degree is preferred * AIPM Accreditation CPPM or equivalent * Demonstrated capability across end-to-end project management on complex power infrastructure projects * Proven ability to deliver against contractual and financial targets in live project environments * Solid understanding of AS/NZ/ISO standards and relevant electrical industry legislation * Ability to travel and attend site * Advanced capability with Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project and Primavera P6 * Strong expertise in, financial management, budgeting, risk identification, mitigation and control, subcontract & procurement management * Proven capability to lead project teams while contributing within a collaborative environment About Energy & Utilities Downer's Energy & Utilities business unit is an integrated trans-Tasman team, providing services and solutions that connect communities to essential networks and infrastructure.
