POSITION OVERVIEW

Kiewit Infrastructure Engineers has an immediate opening for a Senior Project Manager, electrical engineering design in our growing Rail Transit Systems design engineering group. The PM will be part of our rapidly growing Infrastructure Design Department, which includes structural, geotechnical, civil, drainage, roadway, rail/transit and systems, and materials disciplines, is a multi-faceted and leading-edge division of Kiewit with best-in-class technical expertise focused on the design-build delivery of infrastructure projects.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering fields; advanced degree is preferred.
  • 15 years of electrical engineering design and construction experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years of MEP, Systems and electrification experience with rail systems
  • This position requires an experienced candidate who has successfully worked in a multi-discipline, design-build environment.
  • Active PE license is required.
  • Canadian P Eng. is a plus.
  • Leadership and/or technical team management experience.
  • Strong communicate skills that ensure effective communication with internal and external clients, sub-consultants, and suppliers to support the successful delivery of complex rail electrification projects.
  • Strong leadership skills in manage and mentor technical staffs working toward a common goal.
  • Strong analytical, problem solving and communication skills

Responsibilities
  • Plans and manages all aspects of highly complex rail electrification and/or electrical projects to ensure the delivery of cost-effective power system solutions that meet internal and external client needs. This includes scope definition, design development, cost estimation and budget management, project progress evaluation and reporting, engineering support services during construction, safety certification and system integration support services, project closeout, etc.,
  • Provide technical guidance to support the entire organization for successful project delivery. This includes, but not limited to, peer review, develop technical white paper, site visiting and troubleshooting, attend technical meetings, factory, and field test witness, etc.,
  • Manage the day-to-day operation of the project team and provide leadership,
  • Train and mentor engineering staffs,
  • Up to 20% of travel in North America is required.
