Job Description Turner & Townsend is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to join our team in support of the San Diego team. The ideal individual will have prior experience supporting large-scale electrical construction projects. Responsibilities: Manage stakeholders including architects, engineers, and supply chains to scope out/specify A/E solutions for facility renovations and thereafter procure build services and oversee delivery of deliver of compliant projects. Can analyze, track, and effectively manage critical milestone activities to avoid schedule slips. Verify that effective project governance, processes and systems are utilized Ensure application of best practice on all projects, with specific attention to MEP projects including low voltage for an industrial / manufacturing facility. Production of formal project status reports and other reports as required. Monitor the progress of multiple construction projects simultaneously to ensure that the approved design standards are applied correctly. Manage the interface between all suppliers through monthly trackers and weekly reviews. Manage the flow of project information between the project team through regular meetings and written communications. Forecast and update key project milestones and report to client executives on preconstruction/design process, decision/recommendations and monthly status. Manage and monitor local design teams in accordance with commission criteria. Provide technical support to owners, architects, general contractors and regional stakeholders. Rapid response to RFIs from the field. Provide expertise for cost control, value engineering, and constructability guidance where required. Independent review of status reports, drawing submittals, timelines and costs from architects, contractors and suppliers. Client management – assist in developing excellent working relationships with Clients, with a view towards maximizing new opportunities. Strategic Thinking - provides advice to project teams on approaches that can be adopted to successfully achieve both clients’ objectives and business objectives. Knowledge management – ensure that key information and learnings generated from each project is captured. Process improvement – Identify ways to improve internal systems and processes SOX control responsibilities may be part of this role, which are to be adhered to where applicable. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in construction management, civil engineering, or applicable bachelor’s degree and or equivalent experience. Preference for MEP certificates or education. Minimum 5-10 years of relevant project management experience, with at least 5 years of strong MEP issue resolution and project execution oversight. Strong organizational and management skills – the ability to work effectively and collaboratively with the broader team. Effective presentation skills. Proficiency in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Procore, and construction project management tools. Excellent communication skills. Additional Information The salary range for this full-time role is $150k-$165k per year. Ranges are determined by role and level and represent a good faith effort to provide a fair and equitable salary. This range is a reflection of base salary only, not of a total compensation package.
