Description A Senior Project Manager/Estimator is responsible for leading both pre-construction estimating and full project lifecycle management. This role oversees cost planning, bid preparation, budgeting, scheduling, subcontractor coordination, and overall project execution to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. The position requires strong leadership, financial oversight, and client relationship management. Project Managers handle both administrative and hands-on work while managing construction projects. Essential functions Oversee full project lifecycle from award to close-out Develop and manage project schedules, performing quality control and adhering to deadlines Monitor budgets, cost forecasts, and profitability Perform material submittals, respond to RFIs and manage change orders Delegate tasks on the project to employees best positioned to complete them Lead subcontractor & supplier selection as well as contract negotiations Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards Resolve project issues and mitigate risks Review drawings, specifications, and bid documents Work with project team to prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates Lead quantity take-offs and scope analysis Develop budgets and conceptual estimates Identify project risks and pricing contingencies Lead bid review meetings and final proposal submissions Mentor junior project managers and estimators Improve estimating processes and cost databases Build and maintain client relationships Support business development and proposal strategy Contribute to company growth initiatives Supervisory Responsibility This position may require direct supervision of up to three (3) employees. Work Environment This job operates in both a professional office and outdoor work environments. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. While working outdoors the employee may be exposed to all weather conditions. Physical Demands The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. Must be able to climb and descend a flight of stairs as needed. Position Type/Expected Hours of Work This is a full-time position, Monday through Friday. Extended hours, nights and weekend work may be necessary based on business needs. Travel This position requires no regular and customary travel; however, travel on occasion may be required to visit customer or vendor sites, and meeting the needs of the business.
