Job Summary:
Established in 1989, Eton-West Construction (ALTA) Inc. is a General Contractor based in Edmonton with ongoing projects in and around the surrounding areas, a branch in Calgary, as well as current projects in BC. We specialize in the commercial, light-industrial, and institutional sectors.
*We are looking for a full-time Senior Project Manager for our Edmonton office. Reporting to the Vice Presidents, you will be working closely with our other project managers and project coordinators.

General Skills / Requirements:

  • Valid driver’s licence and your own vehicle
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Project
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings (civil, architectural, and structural)
  • Flexible schedule; willing to travel locally as needed
  • At least five (5) years of experience in commercial construction management
  • Ability to identify, assess, and manage potential project risks

Main Responsibilities:

  • Review tender documents and drawings in order to create budgets and prepare estimates
  • Prepare prequalifications and responses to proposal requests
  • Participate in business development and project development activities
  • Prepare contracts with owners and subcontractors
  • Manage project documents such as change orders, requests for information, and schedule updates
  • Coordinate construction activities, manage subcontractors, and work with superintendents to manage the day-to-day operations
  • Ensure projects are built according to approved plans, specifications, and applicable building codes, while monitoring construction progress and schedules
  • Host regular meetings with owners, consultants, and subcontractors
  • Prepare project progress reports for invoicing
  • Participate in creating project safety and logistics plans and perform safety inspections
