About FMAS :
The Federation of Merchants’ Associations, Singapore (FMAS) is a non-profit organization that represents and champions the heartland merchants and hawkers in Singapore. We organize various events and programs to ensure our merchants’ and hawkers’ continued participation, learning and improvement. FMAS works very closely with Ministries, Government Agencies and other public and private stakeholders to drive initiatives to develop and improve our heartlands.
The Objectives of FMAS are to :
1. Inject vibrancy into town and neighbourhood centres;
2. Unite businesses in the community;
3. Uplift and upscale the productivity and competitiveness of our heartland merchants and hawkers
About the Role :
We are seeking a highly experienced and motivated Project Manager/Senior Project Manager to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the trade and associations industry or government-related experience, combined with exceptional project management skills. This role involves leading and overseeing key projects, ensuring successful delivery, and contributing to the strategic goals of FMAS.
Key Responsibilities :
1. Project Planning and Management : Lead the planning, execution, and closure of projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.
2. Stakeholder Engagement : Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including government agencies, industry partners, and internal teams.
3. Strategic Development : Contribute to the development and implementation of strategic initiatives that align with FMAS’s goals and objectives.
4. Team Leadership : (Applicable to the Senior Project Manager role): Manage and mentor project teams, providing guidance and support to ensure high performance and professional development.
5. Risk Management : Identify potential project risks and develop mitigation strategies to ensure project success.
6. Reporting and Documentation : Prepare comprehensive project reports, documentation, and presentations for stakeholders and senior management.
7. Budget Management : Oversee project budgets, monitor expenditures, and ensure financial accountability.
8. Quality Assurance : Ensure all projects adhere to high standards of quality and compliance with relevant regulations and guidelines.
Other Scope of Works :
Develop and implement programmes and strategies to develop heartland businesses and progression of FMAS
Requirements :
Experience: Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in project management, with significant experience in the trade and associations industry or government-related projects being an advantage.
Skills :
1. Proven ability to manage multiple projects/tasks simultaneously.

3. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
4. Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders.
