Job Title: Senior IT Project Manager (7+ years’ experience)
Contract Duration: 6 months
Location: Melbourne (Hybrid, 2-3 days in office)
About the Role: We are seeking an experienced Senior IT Project Manager to join a dynamic IT BAU service team. You will report directly to the Director of IT and Digital Services, overseeing a portfolio of 50+ projects, ensuring deliverables are completed on time, within scope and budget, and meet high-quality standards.
Key responsibilities include determining project priorities, managing resources, establishing standardized project management practices, and delivering key project risk management outcomes. You will also work with internal and external stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review the BAU IT project portfolio to assess what should be started, stopped, or reassigned.
• Collaborate with partners (CSV, Cenitex) to define project dependencies.
• Develop and update project artefacts for assigned projects.
• Manage project reporting and ensure high-quality documentation.
• Maintain risk and issues register, driving mitigations to completion.
• Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
• Lead and support project teams to maintain high performance and efficiency.

Key Requirements:

• 7+ years of experience in IT project management, preferably in large program and PMO environments.
• Experience working with both Waterfall and Agile methodologies.
• DevOps skills are highly desirable.
• Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to various stakeholders.
• Proactive, assertive, and skilled in decision-making and issue resolution.
• Experience with project management tools like MS Project, JIRA, and Confluence.
• Project Management qualifications are highly desirable.
