Description
We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Senior Project Manager to lead and manage the delivery, enhancement, and support of the Group Insurance Policy Administration system; GroupAsia and Customer Information File (CIF) while driving AI-enabled transformation initiatives across Group Insurance business operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for end-to-end project delivery, stakeholder management, vendor coordination, and ensuring system stability, regulatory compliance, and business alignment. This role plays a key leadership position in driving technology initiatives across legacy and modern platforms, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to agreed quality standards. Lead and manage end-to-end delivery of projects and change initiatives for GroupAsia, covering system enhancements, regulatory changes, technology refresh, and production support improvements. Partner closely with business stakeholders, Business Analysts, IT teams, and vendors to define project scope, objectives, timelines, and deliverables. Develop and maintain comprehensive project plans, including milestones, dependencies, resource planning, risk management, and budget tracking. Govern project execution to ensure delivery within agreed timelines, cost, and quality, in compliance with internal SDLC, governance, and regulatory requirements. Oversee system change management, release planning, and production deployment activities to ensure minimal business disruption. Proactively identify project risks, issues, and dependencies, driving mitigation plans and timely resolution. Provide regular project status reporting to senior management, steering committees, and key stakeholders. Support production issues and major incidents related to GroupAsia and CIF system, coordinating cross functional teams to ensure timely resolution. Foster a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and collaboration across project teams. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related discipline. Minimum 8–10 years of IT experience, with at least 5 years in a Project Manager or Senior Project Manager role managing large-scale enterprise systems. Proven experience managing projects involving legacy core insurance systems, preferably AS400 and Java platforms. Experience managing Java-based platforms or digital front-end systems with API-driven integration. Strong understanding of Group Insurance business processes, policy administration, and batch-driven systems. Solid experience in vendor management, including outsourced development and support models. Good knowledge of SDLC, release management, and IT governance frameworks (Waterfall and Agile/Hybrid delivery). Experience managing projects involving system integration, batch processing, and regulatory or compliance-driven changes. Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and negotiation skills, with the ability to engage both technical and business audiences. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities, especially in high-pressure or production-critical environments.
