As part of the Hamilton Health Sciences' Digital Health Plan, the Hospital is embarking upon a new and exciting transformational journey with the introduction of an enterprise-wide Health Information System using the Epic HIS system. This HIS initiative and associated process redesign will play a significant foundational role as a catalyst for an improved patient care at HHS. We are looking for top-talent to join the hospital’s Epic Project Team and be a part of this exciting Hospital Information System (HIS) implementation project. To ensure this project is successful, we need you and the knowledge that you bring from your current role to this team! Project positions are open to HHS and external staff who are interested in contributing to the evolution of our clinical and business systems, with the ultimate goal of improving high quality care for all. Please ensure to include a cover letter highlighting why you would be an asset to the project and your reason for wishing to participate. 1. Undergraduate Degree 2. PMP Certification is preferred 3. Superior knowledge of Project Management’s PMBOK methodology and philosophy. 4. Experience in project management, project management tools and MS Office applications 5. Experience in supervising technical staff functional tasks 6. Effective personnel management skills. 7. Excellent communication skills 8. Working knowledge of typical hospital structures, including clinical, administrative and engineering practices. 9. Knowledge or hospital regulatory requirements such as the protection of PHI, Infection Control, WHMIS, etc. 10. High level working knowledge of Information Technology architecture including, networks, operating systems, applications, and hardware such as PCs, servers and network storage..
Responsibilities
The Senior Project Manager will join the Epic Project Team to manage the enterprise-wide implementation of the Epic Health Information System (HIS) as part of the Digital Health Plan. This initiative is foundational for improving patient care at Hamilton Health Sciences through HIS implementation and associated process redesign.
