Responsibilities

YOUR NEW ROLE

As our new Senior Project Manager, you will be part of our growing UK team working on healthcare projects throughout the UK and internationally. You will have the opportunity to thrive in the management and delivery of technical excellence across a broad range of engineering and associated specialisms and be at the forefront of our client care in the healthcare sector.
We offer flexible working arrangements with candidates able to work from any of our primary offices as well as home. We have an exciting range of ongoing projects including Hillerod Hospital Denmark, Cambridge Children’s Hospital, Kettering General Hospital and KEMH, Falklands Islands.

Your key responsibilities will be:

  • Management and delivery of projects from inception to completion, ensuring that scope, contracts, programmes, change management, risk registers, budgets and QA procedures are in place and maintained
  • Take responsibility for day-to-day management of all project activity, including monthly reports, minutes, MS Project programmes and delivery of presentations
  • Management of the progress of multi-disciplinary engineering advisory and design solutions by Ramboll’s in-house teams and specialist sub-consultants
  • Support technical leads to manage the design process through design workshops
  • Inspire and enthuse the engineers and technicians working on your projects
  • Liaise with clients and collaborators, representing Ramboll at project meetings
  • Manage sub-consultants as the project requires, including Quantity Surveyors, Architects and specialist designers
  • Representing and leading project meetings on behalf of Ramboll
  • Implement best practice procedures to enhance and maintain delivery of sustainable, zero carbon, innovative and quality advisory and design services
  • Manage your own projects and support engineering discipline leads to allocate resources and co-ordinate tasks
  • Positively raise the profile and reputation of Ramboll and our UK Healthcare Team

  • Must have demonstrable experience with multi-disciplinary team management of UK Healthcare projects, such as the building of new or refurbishment of existing hospitals within the UK
  • Minimum HNC/HND or equivalent in a relevant discipline
  • MAPM or qualifications leading to full individual membership of an appropriate institution
  • Have a thorough understanding of digital design delivery through Revit/BIM 360
  • Excellent and demonstratable project management skills, with the ability to run multiple projects of varying size and complexity
  • Experience of managing commercial processes on projects
  • Understanding of project commercial and technical risks, procurement methods and contract administration requirements
  • Excellent communicator capable of explaining complex technical concepts in plain language, verbally and in writing
  • Able to interrogate financial information and write high quality reports
  • Able to motivate and inspire confidence both internally and externally across geographical borders
  • Able to manage stakeholder requirements and communicate them back to project teams, both in the UK and across geographical borders
  • Able to work autonomously
