Job Description
The Senior Project Manager, PMO will play a dual role within the iA American Warranty Group PMO: leading large-scale, cross-functional initiatives and serving as a coach and advisor to elevate project management standards across the organization. This role requires both strong delivery skills and the ability to influence, mentor, and embed best practices that align with PMO standards, organization priorities, and industry-recognized methodologies.
Your Day to Day

Project Delivery – 50%

  • Lead planning, execution, monitoring, and closure of medium-to-large scale projects, ensuring alignment with organizational strategy and delivery of expected business outcomes.
  • Develop and manage project plans, schedules, budgets, risks, issues, and dependencies.
  • Facilitate effective stakeholder engagement, communication, and decision-making across multiple business units.
  • Track and report project health using standardized PMO tools and dashboards.
  • Drive accountability for project outcomes, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and on budget, and delivering the business value intended.
  • Implement and manage project changes and interventions to achieve project deliverables.
  • Conduct post-mortem evaluations (lessons learned) on assigned projects.
  • Coordinate the preparation of project business cases as determined by senior management.
  • Provide direction and support to the project team.
  • Apply quality assurance principles and adhere to standards, policies and procedures.

PMO Coaching & Enablement – 50%

  • Champion and coach teams, business leaders, and stakeholders on PMO standards, processes, and tools.
  • Act as a trusted advisor, guiding the organization in adopting project management best practices tailored to iA American’s culture and goals.
  • Support the Director, PMO in embedding governance, prioritization, and reporting standards across the portfolio.
  • Lead knowledge-sharing sessions, workshops, and informal mentoring to uplift project management capability throughout the enterprise.
  • Partner with leaders to assess project management maturity and recommended areas for growth.

What You Have

  • Bachelor’s degree in administration or project management or related field
  • 5+ years of experience in managing business projects/initiatives with a proven record of leading cross-functional initiatives.
  • Experience working in or with a formal PMO or PM Center of Excellence structure preferred.
  • PMP certification required. Additional certifications (PMI-ACP, SAFe, PMI-PMOCP, CSM, or Change Management) a plus.
