The Opportunity Our highly dynamic international engagement team is looking to grow, continuing the work across the Pacific Region. You will work in partnership with our Pacific Regional team, to plan, lead and manage projects making every day better for some of the most vulnerable communities in our region. We are looking for an intermediate-level experienced infrastructure or engineering professional to join our high-performing and collaborative team. This role will be preferably based in either our Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane or Canberra or office. In this exciting role you will work directly with clients to manage a variety of interesting projects in collaboration with our talented team which will enable you to apply your business development and business management, advisory and engineering/ infrastructure consultancy skills to a range of different clients and markets within our Pacific team. You will be up for the challenge and in for the journey to play a key role in contributing to the growth of Beca’s International Engagement team through excellent project delivery and client management. About you We are seeking a professional who possesses the relevant sales and business acumen mixed with infrastructure or engineering sector knowledge. You will be supported to build and develop your knowledge and understanding of the relevant Beca international engagement service offering, strategy and opportunities. To be successful in the role, you will be a ‘connecter’ with the ability to connect with other markets across Beca to help drive projects in South-East Asia and the Pacific. Required capabilities: Lead the sales pipeline from lead generation, qualification, proposal, negotiation, closing and delivery stages Maintain contact with clients and identify client satisfaction risks Represent Beca at professional meetings and conferences to build profile, relationships and sales opportunities Proactively generate new leads and gather market intelligence to qualify and quantify market opportunities Contribute to and help deliver strategies to grow market share and achieve sales to grow a strong sales pipeline and achieve relevant sales targets Identify, collate, and communicate client and market information, feedback, and opportunities, including updating and maintaining Customer Relationship Management tools and systems Identify opportunities to increase our value proposition to clients, increase revenue and improve margins Drive quality, excellence, and efficiency through the identification of viable sales process improvements Proactively contribute to the development of expertise within the team Build trust, relationships, and networks internally and externally with key clients and partners Displays an awareness, interest, and commitment to South-East Asian and Pacific Island and other cultural considerations Demonstrated understanding of the regional infrastructure development sector across South-East Asia and the Pacific. It is desirable to have experience working with or for Multi-lateral development banks or Regional Government programs. Furthermore, due to the nature and sensitivity of the projects and our client, it is highly desirable that you hold (or possess the ability to obtain) a current Australian Government Security Clearance at Baseline level or higher, for which you will require Australian Citizenship.
