SKILLS REQUIRED:

  • BA degree with substantial prior relevant experience or Masters with strong prior relevant experience.
  • Experience in large scale technology enabled process transformations
  • Experience in Supply Chain transformation and/or Oil & Gas industry
  • Experience in Overseas working
  • Experience of ERP or Supply chain technologies. E.g. Oracle Fusion, SAP, MS Dynamics, Infor, IBM Sterling OMS, Blue Yonder Dispatcher, Kinaxis, Coupa
  • Knowledge of supply chain process, procedures and technology: Order capture, inventory management, Warehousing, Order management and planning; Transport Management
  • Technology delivery for complex system of system architectures
  • Integration technologies: Software AG, Mulesoft IBM Cloud Pak for Integration, APIs
  • Cyber Security.

DESIRABLE SKILLS:

  • Change Management: Guiding others through transformation processes; this includes identifying stakeholders, assessing the impact, providing relevant information at the appropriate cadence, and monitoring implementation.
  • Process Improvements – Identifying opportunities for improvement and implementing changes to processes to address them.
  • Programme Evaluations: Assessing programs systematically against goals to determine their effectiveness and find opportunities for improvement.
  • Programme Implementation: Planning and executing projects by ensuring resources are coordinated effectively to reach objectives.
  • Programme Management: Overseeing projects to ensure proper resource coordination, communication with stakeholders, and progress towards objectives.
  • Project Management: Leading and coordinating project execution by defining objectives, creating a plan and timeline, coordinating resources, monitoring progress, and ensuring overall success.
  • Project Planning: Creating a detailed outline of project objectives, schedule, tasks, and scope to set expectations, guide team members with project execution, and ensure stakeholder buy-in.
  • Project Proposals: Writing documents that outline project objectives, deliverables, and resources required to ensure alignment between stakeholders.
  • Resource Management: Planning, allocating, and utilizing resources strategically within an organisation.
  • Risk Management: Identifying and mitigating potential risks that could impact the success of a project.

Responsibilities

ROLE OVERVIEW:

The Senior Project Manager will play a critical role in leading the planning, organising, securing and managing resources to bring about the successful completion of programme goals and objectives for a large-scale Supply Chain technology transformation in the Oil and Gas industry. This position is a key part of the project leadership team, ensuring all projects within the programme run within scope, time, and budget constraints.
The Senior Project Manager will be responsible for end-to-end programme execution, from project start-up to operations and closeout, including on-contract growth opportunities. You will routinely interface with task and functional leaders, subcontractors, and support personnel while having P&L responsibility.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Influences development of solutions that impact strategic project/programme and business results
  • Recommends and implements new solutions, processes, policies, standards in support of function’s strategy and operations
  • Provides measurable input to new solutions, processes or standards in order to achieve functional/project objectives and solve complex, multi-disciplined problems
  • Requires ability to communicate with executive leadership (internally and client) regarding matters of significant importance to the organisation/project.
  • Works to convince others to accept area’s view/current practices and agree/accept new concepts, practices and approaches
  • Has expert knowledge of industry practices, advanced techniques and solutions within the Project Management discipline to develop new standards, processes, and solutions. Serves as a subject matter expert across Leidos.
