Responsibilities
  • Oversee the full lifecycle of data center construction projects and retrofit projects, from intake to handover. Direct a regional team for successful project execution across multiple projects in the EMEA region.
  • Cultivate strong relationships and coordinate with cross-functional teams, ensuring clear roles, responsibilities, and accountability for all project phases.
  • Oversee project planning and execution, ensuring seamless integration and optimal performance across multi-disciplinary teams.
  • Develop and execute comprehensive project strategies aligned with business objectives including quality, time, cost and health & safety.
  • Ensure alignment of project scope, objectives, and deliverables with business needs, technical and commercial requirements.
  • Ensure adherence to industry best practices, building codes, and safety regulations, maintaining the highest standards of quality.
  • Drive efficiency by identifying and implementing process improvements and best practices in project execution.
  • Proactively identify, mitigate, and manage project risks, ensuring contingency plans are in place.
  • Facilitate regular project status meetings, providing updates, progress reports, and risk assessments to senior leadership.
  • Manage and escalate contract negotiations with the supply chain to ensure timely project completion, competitive pricing and quality adherence.
  • Monitor overall project expenditures, ensuring adherence to regional budgets and identifying opportunities for scope optimisation, value engineering and cost savings.
  • Drive innovation in construction methodologies and technologies, optimising efficiency and sustainability.
  • Engage with the project scheduler in the development of comprehensive project schedules, utilising advanced project management tools to track progress and identify critical paths.
  • Support the project controls team with the project portfolio development and change management processes to effectively manage scope, schedule, and budget variations.
