Responsible for the successful initiation, planning, design, execution, monitoring, controlling and closure of a project
To manage and lead Construction Projects on-site, liaising with the Mitie team, client, sub contractors and other trades, co-ordinating all aspects of the works so that the building project is completed in line with the requirements, within budget and on time.
Responsible for managing the work of consultants, allocating and utilising resources in an efficient manner and maintaining a co-operative, motivated and successful team.
Have a commercial understanding of the project, advising and implementing cost savings at all times, and represent the company in a professional and proactive manner in all dealings with those associated with, and affected by, the building works
Ensure safety to site visitors and staff on site at all times, ensuring that preventative measures are taken, including personal protection, following safety instructions and following all aspects of the health and safety proposal for the site.
Responsibilities
Develops, in conjunction with the Project Sponsor, the scope of the project.» Ensures that the project is delivered on time, to budget and to the required quality & regulative standards. Managing project deliverables in line with the project plan.
Managing project scope and change control.<> Resolving cross-functional issues at project level.
Ensures the project is effectively resourced and manages relationships with a wide range of groups.
Responsible for 3rd party supplier management, including but not limited to supplier quality, performance and setting in a programme and running local supplier monthly reviews. Where required work with Mitie’s procurement lead on central meetings and initiatives
Responsible for approving all 3rd party supplier risk assessments and method statement.
Responsible for owning the EWP process for Mitie projects, working with the technical supervisors where required to ensure they are in place and correctly closed.o Communicate effectively at all times with the client, client’s representative, project architect, project engineer, local authorities and all persons affected by the project
Liaise regularly the the Technical Operations Manager and Site Lead on project status. Recording and managing project issues and escalating where necessary.
Monitor & Report project progress and performance. Own the Weekly governance presentation and attend the weekly governance meeting with the client
Attend and takes notes of any meetings relevant to the project, either on site or in offices.o Knowledge and understanding of the CDM regulationso Respond to any emergency calls in and out of hours as required
