Senior Project Manager Employment type: Temporary opportunity until June 2029 Grade: 11/12 Salary: $149,739 - $173,174+ 12% super plus Leave Loading Location: Haymarket, Sydney. About the role This role is an excellent opportunity to work within the Portfolio Management and Assurance division as an integral member of the Project Assurance team. You will be assigned to projects that are suitable to your skillset and or interest. Your first assignment will involve supporting the DRF transition program, overseeing a comprehensive transformation that includes evaluating the current operating model, funds management, refining ways of working, and implementing Phased-out activities. In this role, you will be responsible for managing program costs, developing and monitoring detailed timelines and deliverables, and ensuring robust reporting, evaluations, and governance practices. You will also be tasked with maintaining the risks and issues to register, ensuring accountability across the team, and facilitating agile ceremonies such as stand-ups, as well as managing Kanban boards and interdependencies throughout the program. As a successful candidate, you will be expected to quickly immerse yourself in the DRF transition program and drive progress to meet ambitious deadlines. Your responsibilities will include: Lead and manage the planning and delivery of projects applying sound project management principles to deliver organisational initiatives. Lead all aspects of the project management cycle, including preparing business cases and project plans, identifying and allocating resources, developing and managing budgets, supplier and contract management, communication and meeting reporting requirements to ensure project outcomes are achieved on time, on budget, to quality standards and comply with approved project methodology. Manage and develop stakeholder relationships through effective communication, negotiation and issues management to ensure project deliverables are met. To be successful, you will have: Delivered projects using Agile Project Management methodologies A driven, enthusiastic individual with a solid project management background. Thrives building relationships with stakeholders and advanced negotiation skills. A tenacious influencer. Experience and knowledge of complex project and program delivery methods, including the implementation of policy solutions. Ability to think creatively, generate innovative ideas, question the status quo and deliver effectively against challenging objectives. Prior experience of process improvement and financial management is regarded but not essential. The go to person for decision making.
