This position is part of Novanta’s Advanced Surgery business unit group. Novanta offers highly reliable, precise and safe solutions that enhance system performance and improve patient outcomes. Insufflators, pumps and disposable tube sets, along with medical visualization and operating room integration technologies are the preferred solution for minimally invasive surgery applications.
Summary
As Senior Project Manager, you’ll independently lead multiple large, complex projects to on-time and on-budget delivery. You’ll lead and coach cross-functional teams to develop and deliver complex projects, including mitigating risks and managing project changes. As part of the Project Management Office, you will help Leaders to identify improvement areas, optimize processes, and drive change across the organization.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Leading multiple, large complex projects and teams. Project planning and execution includes defining requirements, scope, and proactively identifying project risks and mitigating them effectively.
  • Overseeing project goals, status, budgets, risks, and mitigation plans with key stakeholders on a regular basis.
  • Facilitating cross-functional teams to identify process improvement opportunities and solve complex business problems through NGS (Lean) Tools
  • Providing training, coaching and support to team members on continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Conducting continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and quality
  • Leading the implementation of the Novanta Growth System (NGS) at site level

General Tasks

  • Support Advanced Surgery Teams (R&D, Sales & Marketing…) in the successful delivery of complex projects. Leverage NGS / Lean tools to proactively propose solutions. Train and coach teams in the day-to-day use of NGS Tools.

Required Experience, Education, Skills, Training and Competencies

  • University degree or the equivalent combination of education and experience required; advanced/graduate degree preferred for some disciplines. Typically requires 5-8 years’ experience.
  • Have a proven track record of successfully managing and delivering large projects within a technical environment.
  • Highly proficient in project management methodologies and tools, with deep understanding of project management best practices.
  • Possess excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills to effectively lead and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Possess significant experience applying continuous improvement methodologies such as Lean or Six Sigma
  • Have excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Be able to lead cross-functional teams and drive change and trainings across the organization.

Language Requirements

  • English is a MUST
  • Czech is desired and German is a plus

Travel Requirements

  • Some travel might be required (4 x year)
