We invite a Senior Project Manager based in Zagreb to join our highly specialized engineering team working on a critical financial transaction platform. In this role, you’ll drive project planning and cross-team coordination, ensuring the reliable and timely delivery of a high-volume, high-performance payment orchestration system. You’ll also build strong relationships with the client onsite, helping the team execute strategic initiatives successfully. 🟩 What's in it for you: Drive a strategic initiative for a major fintech client scaling a mission-critical payment orchestration platform Partner closely onsite with the client, shaping priorities, aligning expectations, and building trust Mentor and guide the team, promoting best practices and ensuring smooth, high-quality delivery ✅ Is that you? 5+ years of project management experience in software development or fintech Strong skills in project planning, coordination, and delivery management Experience managing high-volume, high-performance backend or financial systems Risk, issue, and change management experience Agile/Scrum and continuous delivery experience Effective cross-functional collaboration with engineering, QA, and product teams Experience building strong client relationships onsite Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills Experience with reporting, metrics, and tracking project progress Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities Upper-Intermediate+ English level Location in Zagreb or ability to commute to the office daily Desirable: Background in Payments, FinTech, or Financial Services Fluency in Croatian or Ukrainian Experience with project management tools (Jira, Confluence, or similar) Leadership experience for mentoring/guiding junior PMs or team members 🧩Key responsibilities and your contribution In this role, you’ll manage planning, coordination, and delivery of a high-volume payment orchestration platform while collaborating with cross-functional teams and working closely with the client onsite.
