SENIOR PROJECT MANAGER:

On behalf of our Healthcare client, Procom is searching for a Senior Project Manager for a two-year role. This position is a remote position based in Surrey, British Columbia, Canada.

SENIOR PROJECT MANAGER - JOB DESCRIPTION:

The project involves the Phase 2 renovation of the Vancouver General Hospital (VGH) Surgical Department’s 2nd floor. It includes the refresh and implementation of various IT Surgical Applications and communication systems. The goal is to ensure seamless operation across the newly renovated spaces, maintaining the continuity of surgical services.

SENIOR PROJECT MANAGER - MANDATORY SKILLS:

  • Post-secondary education in Computer Science and/or Health Information Sciences
  • Project Management experience in Health Care IT implementations
  • Experience with TeleTracking suite of products in a hospital setting
  • Experience with Vocera Communications System implementation
  • Experience managing technical services infrastructure
  • Familiarity with PHSA PQTO Project Implementation Methodology
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills

SENIOR PROJECT MANAGER – NICE-TO-HAVE SKILLS:

  • Experience with Cerner Millenium Applications
  • Knowledge of Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS)
  • Experience with Omnicell systems
  • Ability to work effectively in a remote team environment
  • Familiarity with Stryker Integration systems
Responsibilities
  • Manage procurement and installation of devices and equipment
  • Oversee application design, configuration, build, testing, and deployment of IT Surgical Applications
  • Ensure smooth IT transition of Automated Dispensing Cabinets and Anesthesia Workstations
  • Implement bi-directional integration of Stryker Integration System and Cerner patient record
  • Coordinate vendor and PDHIS work, providing a single point of contact and accountability
  • Lead the planning team and provide project leadership and governance
  • Develop and distribute regular project reporting to sponsors and stakeholders
  • Maintain comprehensive project documentation and track project financials
