SENIOR PROJECT MANAGER:

On behalf of our Financial Services client, Procom is searching for a Senior Project Manager for a 9 month contract role. This position is a hybrid position with 2 days onsite at our client’s Mississauga office.

SENIOR PROJECT MANAGER - JOB DESCRIPTION:

The Senior Project Manager will be part of the Markets Transformation team, focusing on the remediation related to the 2020 Consent Order Data Program. This role involves managing finance-related workstreams by collaborating with business and finance SMEs to ensure project execution and successful outcomes.

SENIOR PROJECT MANAGER - MANDATORY SKILLS:

  • 8 years of relevant experience with a finance background.
  • Strong data analysis and reporting experience.
  • Familiarity with liquidity, CCAR/DFAST, FR Y, RWA reporting, and resolution planning.
  • Experience with Capital Markets products and trade capture and ledger systems.
  • Strong and concise communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Extremely detail-oriented with strong interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to drive progress and ensure deadlines are met.

SENIOR PROJECT MANAGER – NICE-TO-HAVE SKILLS:

  • Data Lineage and Architecture experience.
  • Experience on regulatory programs.
  • Markets knowledge, including risk and controls, trade lifecycle products.
  • Knowledge of compliance functions (e.g., AML, KYC).
  • Big 4 experience.
Responsibilities
  • Execute finance-related workstreams in partnership with business and finance SMEs.
  • Prepare concise Markets activity/progress reports tailored to different audiences.
  • Provide checks and challenges on activity/progress reports by other functions.
  • Utilize best practice project management methodologies to maintain plans, risks, and issues.
  • Drive end results of the project as a representative of Markets.
  • Facilitate remediation-related engagement with the Markets product lines.
  • Proactively track project progress against goals.
  • Recognize and address potential problems, bringing the right people together to solve them.
  • Effectively communicate project status across various stakeholders.
  • Define, teach, and enforce good project management practices.
