We are currently searching a Senior Project Manager Procurement (f/m/d) based in Munich.

SUMMARY:

The Senior Project Manager Procurement is responsible for ensuring implementation of material cost-saving opportunities within the specific segments they represent. This includes executing procurement strategies that achieve the company’s cost-reduction objectives, and developing and maintaining strong relationships with internal product groups and business stakeholders including but not limited to R&D, Engineering, and Manufacturing.
A breadth of experience in these areas, as well as strong project management capabilities and the ability to collaborate and communicate effectively with a diverse group of stakeholders is of the utmost value, as well as a proven record of delivering results on behalf of a global organization.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Master degree or above
  • 5~10 years project management, planning and organisational skills with proactive and self-driven personality
  • Must have hands on experience implementing Lean Thinking, Lean Tools and Kaizen events to drive Lean improvements in Execution phase.
  • Must have experience in effective root cause problem solving
  • Demonstrate experience in the pharmaceutical and/or Medical device manufacturing

Responsibilities
  • Attain supplier resources to conduct the pre-feasibility study of MIP with internal resources. The scope may include from to request supplier samples for performing test, to organize communications between suppliers and plant teams, to ensure the supplier delivery pre-feasibility report on time.
  • Collaborate with Operational Excellence team to prioritize material MIPs and secure resources from different functional teams to determine a formal project.
  • Coordinate suppliers with manufacturing, Engineering, PDO, R&D, QA and RA et to ensure the projects execution readiness and delivery on target. Accountabilities include but not limited to
  • Confirm suppliers’ activities, timeline, resources, risk & opportunity etc
  • Identify and secure budget for supplier activities, manage the spending and timeline
  • Lead supplier interaction with internal SMEs (material, technology, quality, registration etc) to solve ad hoc problems and drive alignment mainly on quality spec and regulatory approach
  • Report procurement MIP project progress and escalate project risk to MIP execution team
  • Update Procurement MIP project in system and ensure the data accuracy
  • Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures and ethics in procurement standards
  • Follow up in ramp up phase with supplier after-project implementation
  • Deploy best practices and transfer knowledge across the MIP execution team
