POSITION OVERVIEW

The Senior Project Manager will involve overseeing, guiding, and managing critical fibre construction projects that are essential to the continued growth of our organization. As a Senior Project Manager, you will coordinate personnel, resources, and processes to ensure the successful and efficient completion of infrastructure construction projects.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Comfortable working in various outdoor terrains.
  • Ability to work in an office environment.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Demonstrated success as a project administrator in the telecommunications sector.
  • In-depth understanding of construction procedures and project management principles.
  • Solid technical background, with experience in relevant software and web technologies.
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office.
  • Familiarity with construction/project management software.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
  • Proven leadership and team management skills.
  • Attention to detail and the ability to multi-task effectively.
  • A BSc/BA in engineering or related field of study may be beneficial.
  • PMP or equivalent project management certification may be advantageous
Responsibilities
  • Coordinate internal resources and third-party vendors for flawless project execution.
  • Ensure all projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.
  • Collaborate with Construction, Engineering, and Design teams to define project scopes and objectives, ensuring technical feasibility.
  • Manage resource availability and allocation, including materials, equipment, and manpower.
  • Develop detailed project plans to track and report on project progress.
  • Use appropriate verification techniques to manage changes in project scope, schedule, and costs.
  • Measure project performance using systems, tools, and techniques.
  • Report and escalate barriers or interruptions to management as needed.
  • Act as a liaison between construction managers, crews, design & engineering, and client services to ensure alignment and accuracy on project progress.
  • Perform risk management to minimize project risks.
  • Facilitate the acquisition of necessary licenses and permits before construction begins.
  • Ensure compliance with administrative requirements including contract preparation, procurement, and invoicing.
