As a Senior Project Manager, you will join the management team of RICK to expand and guide the company’s land development operations throughout the Phoenix area and greater Arizona. This position oversees a diverse portfolio of residential, commercial, and mixed-use development projects while leading and mentoring engineering teams. The Senior Project Manager also fosters valuable partnerships to drive business development efforts with private developers, landowners, and higher-education institutions.   Responsibilities * Serve as the trusted advisor and primary point of contact throughout the project lifecycle, including providing expert guidance on the design process, delivering regular progress updates, and ensuring alignment of project scope, schedule, and budget * Oversee and direct all phases of complex land development projects from site evaluation and due diligence through scoping, proposals, design plans and reports, permitting, and final approvals * Manage quality assurance and quality control effectively * Lead project teams by establishing clear expectations, ensuring technical excellence, and promoting a collaborative environment focused on efficiency, quality, and innovation * Provide mentoring, training, and professional development initiatives to strengthen staff capabilities and support career progression within the team * Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, internal teams, and public agencies * Work with Principals within RICK and provide strategic input on business development opportunities; support firm growth through client retention and new project pursuits   General Requirements * Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from an accredited college  * Registered Arizona Professional Engineer (P.E.) license * 10+ years of relevant experience managing land development projects with an emphasis on single-family development projects * Proven experience leading project teams, managing clients, and overseeing permitting processes * Strong leadership skills with the ability to make independent decisions and guide project teams toward successful outcomes * Experience mentoring, directing, and reviewing the work of technical staff and junior project managers * Extensive client contacts and relationships with local architects, developers, land use attorneys, planners, and public agencies * Business development and marketing experience, including proposal writing, scopes of work, and budgeting for projected work Technical Experience Requirements * Advanced technical expertise in land development design including entitlements, site grading and drainage, utility design, stormwater management, and best design practices. * Ability to perform conceptual and preliminary engineering design studies  * Experience with preparation and processing of regulatory plans * Knowledge of jurisdictional codes, standards, and procedures in the Arizona region (strongly preferred) * Ability to perform constructability reviews and experience with a range of construction support services * Strong technical skills with AutoCAD-Civil 3D   Company Offerings * Generous benefits package with annual bonus potential * Medical, dental, vision, profit-sharing, 401K, personal leave, and life and disability insurance * Company culture experiences, including events, team-building activities, parties, and more  * Innovative technology and company-wide resources   Base pay: $135,000-$150,000 with annual bonus potential Find an abundance of opportunities for mentorship, growth, and fun at RICK!   Learn more by visiting www.rickengineering.com [http://www.rickengineering.com/].    Rick Engineering Company (RICK) is an Equal Opportunity Employer RICK’s employees are protected by laws designed to protect employees from discrimination on the bases of race, religion, color, sex, pregnancy, gender identity, sexual orientation, parental status, national origin, age, disability, family medical history or genetic information, political affiliation, military service, or any other non-merit-based factor.
