WHAT’S THE OPPORTUNITY

If you have experience of Construction Project Management and are ready for a new challenge, this role will offer you the opportunity to develop your management skills and help further grow our business whilst working in a supportive team within our Cardiff office.
Ridge has an established and growing presence in South Wales, where we have proudly contributed to projects valued up to £200 million. Our portfolio includes Tall Buildings, Student Accommodation, Colleges, Schools, Universities and the Blue Light sectors.
This role offers the chance to manage and contribute to high-profile projects across South Wales, while also working alongside experienced professionals on nationally significant schemes.

Responsibilities

WHAT YOU NEED TO DO TO BE EFFECTIVE IN THIS ROLE

  • Autonomy for project delivery of all project stages.
  • Developing and managing client relationships and identifying opportunities for growth
  • Manage both internal and external consultant teams, maintaining open communication and a collaborative approach to project delivery
  • Identifying strategies and solutions that deliver successful outcomes for our projects and clients
  • Identifying opportunities to innovate our services, through technology or processes
  • Raising Ridge’s profile and brand within the construction industry and region through service excellence and networking
  • Demonstrating leadership qualities to our colleagues, clients and delivery partners
  • Advise on and implement the selection and appointment of all necessary consultants and specialists
  • Day-to-day responsibility for projects
  • Provide single point of contact taking responsibility for all aspects of the project and liaise with the client
  • Assist with leading and managing the project management team.

THE SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE YOU NEED TO HAVE FOR THIS ROLE

  • Ideally chartered within RICS, APM or CIOB
  • Strong understanding of project delivery processes from RIBA 0-6
  • Significant consultancy construction project management experience
  • The ability to lead projects and teams, and to develop long-lasting client relationships, with autonomy
  • The ability to set up and drive new projects from inception, including the early stages of site de-risking, to completion and close out
  • Exceptional communication and reporting, incorporating the use of MS Office, MS Project and/or alternative scheduling software.
