Description Position Summary The primary function of this position is roadway design project delivery lead. This includes successful contracting, coordination and delivery of all aspects of a roadway design project. This position also includes staff development/mentoring, and business development activities. Essential Duties and Responsibilities · Work with technical staff to develop proposals, scopes of work, and fee estimates · Responsible for maintaining schedule, budget, and profitability of assigned projects · Provide and/or oversee design and production of project deliverables, including design plans, specifications, reports, and cost estimates. · Ownership of internal QA/QC process for assigned projects · Provide technical solutions, guidance and mentorship to mid-level and junior staff. · Assure that engineering services are commensurate with professional standards, client requirements, and Shrewsberry objectives · Manage local Shrewsberry personnel (as well as sub-contractors) to meet project deliverables. · Establish staffing plans for projects with close coordination with group director. · Review project invoices, and prepare project status reports · Utilize project management software for tracking and progress reporting · Participate in business development activities, including developing and maintaining relationships with clients and partners, and attending local industry functions and events. Requirements Education and/or Experience · Bachelor’s Degree in civil engineering from an accredited university or college · CO PE or ability to obtain within 6 months of employment. · 10-14 years of experience (Those with more experience welcome to apply, salary commensurate with experience) · Proven success in project management/delivery of roadway design projects. · Colorado Experience a plus LICENSES; CERTIFICATES; SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS: · Professional Engineer (PE) license in Colorado; licensure in additional states may be required in the future · If an employee plans to use their own vehicle in the scope of their employment with Shrewsberry, they will be required to provide proof of insurance and a drivers license Knowledges, Skills, and Abilities · Comprehensive knowledge of the practical application of engineering. This includes applying principles, techniques, procedures, and equipment to the design and production of various deliverables · Client Service Mindset · Ability to clearly communicate information both verbally and in writing · Capability to meet contract requirements, including project schedule, budget and scope · Ability to multi-task and prioritize assigned projects, and work with minimal supervision · Focus on Quality Assurance and Quality Control · Assist in development of Proposals, Statement of Qualification, and various other solicitation responses. · Work effectively individually and as a team member · Establish and maintain effective working relationships with supervisors, co-workers, and employees in other departments. · Ability to articulate value proposition to potential clients. Proficient in navigating various specialized software including, but not limited to, CADD and 3D modeling software (AutoCAD and/or MicroStation), Microsoft Word and Excel This is a full-time position with a base salary that ranges between $135,000 - $160,000 per year.
