SENIOR PROJECT MANAGER

Hours: Monday Friday, 08:30 17:00
Location: Gillingham, Kent
Salary Range: £55,000 - £60,000, + Bonus Scheme and company car
Contract type: Permanent

  • Proven project management experience within the Fire Industry.

  • A strong understanding of Health & Safety, particularly in site-based environments.
  • A working knowledge of CDM regulations and Principal Contractor obligations (desirable).
  • Confident leadership and interpersonal skills to manage and motivate multidisciplinary teams.
  • Solid experience in budget management, commercial reporting, and driving project profitability.
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills to manage expectations and build lasting client relationships.
  • The ability to make sound decisions under pressure and adapt to changing circumstances.
  • A strong grasp of fire systems, compliance, and industry-specific technical knowledge.
  • Financial and business acumen, with the ability to interpret data and support strategic project decisions.
  • IT proficiency, including Microsoft Office and project management software.

YOUR NEXT ROLE

Were looking for an experienced and driven Project Manager to join our growing team at Senseco Systems. In this role, you’ll take ownership of complex projects from start to finish - leading with confidence, managing risk, motivating teams, and ensuring exceptional outcomes.
This is a high-impact position where you’ll have end-to-end responsibility for delivery - from feasibility and planning, through to execution and post-project review. You’ll play a key role in shaping the success of our fire systems projects while upholding our standards of safety, quality, and integrity.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

As a Project Manager at Senseco, you’ll be responsible for:

  • Initiating projects by assessing feasibility, defining scope, budgets, and required resources.
  • Planning with clarity setting objectives, assigning roles, and developing visual project plans and schedules.
  • Executing and overseeing the day-to-day delivery of your projects, ensuring they stay on time and to spec.
  • Monitoring & controlling project progress, identifying and mitigating risks early, and managing stakeholder expectations.
  • Financial management including cost control, margin protection, applications for payment, final accounts, and cost-to-complete reporting.
  • Closing projects by capturing lessons learned and identifying areas for continuous improvement.
  • Mentoring and developing junior team members and supporting your colleagues on more challenging or complex projects.
  • Collaborating across teams, leading internal and external stakeholders to deliver successful outcomes.
  • Communicating regularly with senior leadership and clients to report progress and flag potential issues early
