REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering or a related field
  • Proven experience managing large-scale construction or real estate projects
  • Professional certification such as PMP, APM, RICS or equivalent
  • Strong understanding of construction processes, methodologies and best practice
  • Proficiency in project management tools (e.g. MS Project, Primavera)
  • Excellent leadership, communication and client-facing skills
  • Consultancy experience (preferred)
  • Knowledge of sustainable construction practices or LEED certification (a plus)

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to join a growing Real Estate team in Birmingham. This is a fantastic opportunity to lead and deliver large-scale construction projects from inception to completion, working with some of the UK’s most respected clients.
As a Senior Project Manager, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing all aspects of project delivery, from planning and resource allocation to financial management and stakeholder engagement. You will also mentor junior colleagues and contribute to the continued growth and success of the business.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead end-to-end project management for complex, large-scale construction projects
  • Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, budgets and resource allocations
  • Collaborate with architects, engineers, contractors and clients to achieve project goals
  • Implement effective governance, processes and systems throughout the project lifecycle
  • Conduct risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies
  • Manage project finances, reporting and change control processes
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety and environmental standards
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships, identifying opportunities for new business
  • Mentor and support junior Project Managers, helping to grow the team’s capability
