We are looking for a Senior Project Manager to focus on Site Development and Site Asset Management.

ABOUT YOU

We’re looking for a skilled and experienced professional who thrives in a dynamic, collaborative environment.

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Master’s degree in engineering or a related technical field (with sufficient technical education, providing understanding on electricity intensive assets)
  • 10+ years in power production or power-consuming assets with expertise in areas like project development, asset maintenance, or operations management
  • Proven track record of managing complex projects
  • Strong project and portfolio management skills with industry-standard qualifications
  • Knowledge of contracts and legal considerations from a project management perspective
  • Experience in zoning, environmental permitting, and grid connection planning
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Familiarity with high-voltage grid connections (110kV and 400kV) is a plus
  • Fluent Finnish language skills are a must have in addition to excellent English, both written and spoken. Swedish is an advantage

In addition, you will also have a systematic, proactive approach with strong business acumen and excellent interpersonal skills for managing stakeholders, subcontractors, and service providers.

As part of a highly experienced and respected team, you will:

  • Actively develop existing sites and new land areas for industrial investments, such as hyperscale data centers, green steel production and hydrogen projects
  • Contribute to transformative projects
  • Balance the operational excellence of current assets with strategic preparations for future opportunities
  • Support the management of critical assets, including the sites at Meri-Pori and Inkoo harbo
Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE

As a Senior Project Manager at Fortum, you will play a key role in driving our decarbonization strategy while developing future-ready industrial sites. You have also opportunity to be in the center of Finnish national security of supply while taking part of managing assets being critical to Finland’s national energy security.
Fortum offers tailored industrial site development solutions in Finland for global energy-intensive industrial developers and investors. With our strong commitment to driving industry decarbonisation, we offer support at the early phases of low carbon investments by providing scalable and customized industrial sites matching to requirements of investors covering various power intensive industrial segments. We shorten the time required for the investment process and promote a fast time-to-market, by several years.

The position is located in Espoo, Finland. However, occasional travelling is required mainly in Finland.
