Description

The Senior Project Manager is responsible for ensuring that the project is completed on time and within budget while meeting its objectives. This role involves overseeing the project to achieve the desired outcomes, utilizing resources efficiently, and addressing the various interests of stakeholders.

EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:

  • A bachelor’s degree is an asset, preferably in a relevant field such as construction management, engineering, or architecture.
  • A minimum of 10 years experience in commercial, industrial, and/or institutional construction.
  • Knowledge of all phases of building construction.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
Responsibilities
  • Oversee and coordinate project workflows in collaboration with Superintendents, subcontractors, consultants, and project owners to ensure seamless execution.
  • Lead and mentor the office project team, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.
  • Develop a comprehensive project schedule in partnership with the Superintendent, ensuring alignment with project goals.
  • Actively participate in pre-job planning and site layout meetings to establish clear objectives and expectations.
  • Monitor and control project costs, implementing strategies to stay within budgetary constraints.
  • Schedule and manage critical deliveries, maintaining a clear understanding of project timelines and critical paths.
  • Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to ensure project success.
  • Exemplify the company’s policies and procedures, particularly regarding safety culture, while promoting education and awareness among the work team.
