SENIOR PROJECT MANAGER- TRANSIT:

On behalf of our public sector client, Procom is searching for a Senior Project Manager- Transit for a one-year plus extension role. This position is a hybrid position with 2-3 days onsite at our client’s Toronto office.

SENIOR PROJECT MANAGER- TRANSIT - JOB DESCRIPTION:

The project involves further modernizing the payment system by implementing outstanding functions and requirements to enhance customer experience and fare management features. The Senior Project Manager will oversee ongoing enhancement releases and new modernization projects.

SENIOR PROJECT MANAGER- TRANSIT - MANDATORY SKILLS:

  • University Degree in Business Administration/Computer Science/Electronic Engineering or equivalent
  • 10+ years experience as a Project Manager (PMP certified)
  • Experience in transit payment collection and automated fare collection concepts
  • Practical experience with MS Office Suite and MS Project (O365)
  • Strong vendor and contract management experience
  • Experience working in an IT production, systems implementation, or engineering project environment
  • Well-developed communication and presentation skills

SENIOR PROJECT MANAGER- TRANSIT – NICE-TO-HAVE SKILLS:

  • ITIL knowledge and operation process management experience
  • Experience managing multi-disciplinary staff
  • Experience with digital payment systems
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work under high service demands and severe time constraints
Responsibilities
  • Manage all phases of projects from inception to post-implementation
  • Lead feasibility studies and risk profile assessments
  • Develop project charters and detailed project plans
  • Perform resource planning and budgeting tasks
  • Monitor project progress and provide status updates
  • Conduct stakeholder management and lead project meetings
