Job Description AECOM is seeking a motivated and experienced Senior Water/Wastewater Project Manager to join our expanding water engineering practice. The selected candidate will become part of an established water engineering practice working on prominent wet weather remediation programs, water and wastewater treatment, sewer collection, potable water distribution and storage, and pumping station projects in the Greater D/M/V Metropolitan area. Responsibilities include: Candidate will manage, plan and lead engineering design projects for sanitary sewer collection systems (including large diameter pipe), condition assessment, pumping stations, lift stations, force mains, interceptors, water distribution systems, green infrastructure, reservoirs, as well as water/wastewater treatment plants. Additional responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to, those listed below: Manages portfolio of clients with multiple projects. May supervise mid to junior level engineers (all disciplines applicable), as well as project administration, project controls, scheduling, cost control, estimating and procurement representatives. Responsible for the coordination and completion of projects on time within budget and within scope. Ensures that all projects are delivered on time, within scope and within budget Develop a detailed project plan to monitor and track progress Manage changes to the project scope, project schedule and project costs using appropriate verification techniques Measures project performance using appropriate tools and techniques Manages the relationship with the client and all stakeholders Performs risk management to minimize project risks Consistently delivers profit margins planned. Senior technical resource may serve as technical advisor for team Provides specialized technical input to studies and design for staff's specific area of expertise. Develops study and design procedures to facilitate high-quality cost-effective work by others. Participates in interdisciplinary review of project deliverables. Develop construction cost estimates and estimates of technical efforts for projects. Performs quality control review of design calculations or drawings. Prepares technical specification sections. Qualifications Minimum Requirements BS Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering or related discipline 8 years of related experience Preferred Qualifications Professional Engineering License in the state of Maryland 10+ years of related experience Experience with Metropolitan Area Municipal Water/Wastewater clients in Washington D.C, Northern Virginia, and Maryland Working knowledge of Federal, State, and local jurisdiction permitting regulations for water/wastewater Solid knowledge of MS Office Suite, Sharepoint, Unifier, e-Builder, CM14, and P6 Scheduling Software Demonstrated experience in business development Proven track record of delivering technically complex construction projects from inception to completion Excellent verbal and written communication skills Additional Information This position does not offer sponsorship This position does not offer relocation assistance About AECOM AECOM is proud to offer comprehensive benefits to meet the diverse needs of our employees.
