THE OPPORTUNITIES – TE TŪRANGA

We’re looking for two Senior Project Managers to join our Strategic Initiatives Programme. Each role will lead a distinct stream of work, contributing to the successful delivery of TVNZ’s strategic objectives.
As a Senior Project Manager, you’ll oversee all aspects of project delivery — from planning and development through to implementation, go-to-market execution, and operational readiness. You’ll manage vendors, coordinate technical and business teams, and ensure the organisation is prepared to adopt and support new solutions.

ROLE 1: INTEGRATION PLATFORM DELIVERY

This role will be instrumental in establishing a new integration platform and delivering key integrations aligned with TVNZ’s strategic portfolio. As a core member of the Integration Project Team, you’ll work closely with other strategic initiatives to ensure seamless connectivity across systems. You’ll also engage with stakeholders across the business to integrate legacy applications, helping to future-proof our technology landscape.

ROLE 2: DIGITAL PLATFORM REPLACEMENT

This role will lead the Digital Platform Replacement project. We’re seeking a Project Manager with strong vendor and stakeholder management skills, particularly in working with subject matter experts. The stream is complex due to its scale and the variety of stakeholders involved. You’ll be responsible for keeping the project on track, maintaining momentum, and ensuring clear communication and engagement throughout the journey.

To succeed in these roles, you’ll bring:

• 8+ years of proven experience delivering complex software or digital projects through to launch and operational handover
• Experience in digital platform replacement or complex integration projects will position you at the forefront for these roles
• Experience delivering projects within a programme framework with high interdependency and integration
• Strong understanding of Agile, Waterfall, and Hybrid delivery models
• Demonstrated ability to manage cross-functional teams and external vendors
• Expertise in go-to-market execution, operational readiness planning, and early life support
• Excellent stakeholder management, facilitation, and communication skills — from technical teams to senior leadership
• A proactive, decisive approach with the energy and resilience to thrive in a complex programme environment
• Experience in the media industry is highly advantageou
