  • Senior Project Officer Accredited Assessor (Environment Officer Class 9)
  • Ongoing full-time (35 hours per week) opportunity
  • Office location is Parramatta or regional location/Hybrid working supported
  • Salary relative to experience, and ranges from $124,322 to $138,494 + super

This is an exciting opportunity to deliver biodiversity assessments, as part of the Credits Supply Branch, Stewardship Support Program team, to landholders interested in establishing Biodiversity Stewardship Agreements

ABOUT YOU

We are looking for people who are BAM accredited, happy to undertake field work with a team of skilled ecologists, and keen to engage with landholders to secure conservation outcomes for their properties.

KEY KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE

  • Extensive experience in planning, implementing and managing ecological field surveys.
  • Experience in the application of the Biodiversity Assessment Method.
  • Demonstrated knowledge, skills and experience managing budgets and expenditure in relation to programs and projects.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of the operational and strategic requirements for the successful delivery of programs in the context of current policy and legislative frameworks.

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Appropriate tertiary qualifications
  • Current Driver’s Licence
  • Willing and able to lead ecological fieldwork which involves travel.
  • Biodiversity Assessment Method Assessor Accreditation
