Description

We are seeking a candidate to fill the role of Senior Project Officer Investment and Reporting. This position works to make funding allocation and reporting processes smarter and simpler for key delivery partners, while ensuring that governance and accountability requirements are maintained for Victoria’s largest ongoing waterway restoration program.
The ideal candidate will bring strong data manipulation and communication skills as well as great engagement and collaboration experience to the team, so they can work effectively across the branch and with the external IT vendor to deliver tangible outcomes for Victoria’s waterways.
The position is located in the Waterway Policy and Programs Branch, which leads the response to current environmental challenges and environmental input to relevant strategies and policies. The branch applies an adaptive approach to waterway management to achieve positive environmental outcomes from investing in integrated actions such as delivering water for the environment, revegetation and managing invasive species.

SPECIALIST/TECHNICAL EXPERTISE/QUALIFICATIONS

  • Mandatory: Skills and experience with Excel (pivot tables and charting standards), especially with regard to data consolidation (ETL) and visualisation
  • Desirable:
  • Experience with IT contract management and systems configuration and/or deployment
  • Exposure to grants management processes/programs
  • An understanding of Victoria’s water management framework, especially with regard to the role of CMAs
