Senior Project Officer – Transformation & Change – SafeWork NSW Grade: Clerk Grade 9/10 Salary Range: $129,464 - $142,665 + superannuation Location: Parramatta or Gosford Term: Temporary until 30 June 2026 Applications Close: Tuesday 28th October 2025 (9:59AM) About SafeWork NSW – Transformation and Change Team The Senior Project Officer will support a large-scale change program to deliver a more modern, fit-for-purpose and responsive work health and safety regulator for NSW. Reporting to the Manager, Change and Reform in SafeWork NSW, this role will play a pivotal role in ensuring the effective implementation of SafeWork NSW’s reform program. Responsibilities include: Manage the planning and delivery of complex projects applying sound project management principles to deliver organisational initiatives Manage and oversee all aspects of the project cycle, including developing project plans, identifying and coordinating resources, managing budgets, supplier and contract management and meeting reporting requirements to ensure project outcomes are achieved on time, on budget, to quality standards and approved project management methodology Develop and maintain stakeholder and customer relationships through effective communication, negotiation and issues management to ensure project deliverables are met Continuously monitor and evaluate all aspects of project implementation, including risk and contingency management, benefits realisation, project impact and quality measures, to identify and address issues, assess project progress and effectiveness, and achieve project outcomes Undertake research and formulate recommendations to support evidence based project planning and decision making Provide advice and information on emerging project issues to support project development and delivery in line with established plans, budgets, timeframes, policy objectives and other projects and priorities To be successful in this role you will have: An ability to work autonomously, with great time management skills Strong stakeholder engagement skills Experience in delivering impactful communications, as well as in developing internal briefing notes, and briefings for senior leaders, and A can-do attitude, with a drive to make meaningful change.
