YOUR ROLE

This role sits within our Program Management Office, where you will lead the design, development and monitoring of project and program management governance and reporting. that ultimately enhance the AHO’s service delivery and operations. Your work will support our commitment to providing culturally appropriate, high-quality housing services for Aboriginal individuals, families, and communities.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

The Senior Project Officer leads the design, development and monitoring of program/project management governance and reporting. The role promotes and facilitates consistent application of standard program management methodology and processes across the organisation, providing support and guidance whilst also encouraging a healthy program management environment.

In this role, you will:

  • Contribute to a culturally appropriate function that aligns with our organisation’s commitment to keep culture at the centre of everything we do.
  • Develop and oversee project plans, budgets, reporting, and compliance processes to deliver high-quality outputs and outcomes, on time and within scope.
  • Analyse project deliverables and provide insights to the AHO Executive through the Program Governance Executive Steering Committee (PGESC), supporting evidence-based decisions.
  • Maintain accurate project documentation and ensure adherence to governance and reporting requirements.
  • Ensure stakeholders understand and adhere to project management governance and compliance requirements, navigating complex stakeholder dynamics and competing priorities to deliver projects within established framework and standards.
  • Build and manage effective stakeholder relationships across Directorates, providing tailored support and guidance to uplift project management capability.
  • Prepare clear and professional project documentation, including reports, status updates, discussion papers, and budgets.
  • Lead initiatives to embed best practice and strengthen project delivery and reporting across the AHO.
  • Adapt your approach to meet the diverse needs of teams with varying levels of project management experience.
