YOUR ROLE

Are you passionate about Work Health and Safety and looking to apply your project management skills to make a meaningful impact in NSW social housing?
This role sits within the Work Health and Safety (WHS) team and plays a key part in ensuring the safety and wellbeing of staff, contractors, and tenants across the Homes NSW. You’ll contribute to the delivery of WHS compliance, training, reporting, and continuous improvement initiatives that support a proactive safety culture.
As a WHS Senior Project Officer, you will lead and support a range of WHS-focused programs and projects, including the development and implementation of WHS policies, procedures, and guidelines; contractor and staff WHS reporting; provide WHS support to the business and WHS awareness and training campaigns.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

In this role, you will:

  • Lead WHS-related projects from initiation through to implementation, ensuring alignment with legislative requirements and organisational safety objectives
  • Coordinate the development and review of WHS policies, procedures and WHS Documents, ensuring they reflect current best practices and regulatory standards
  • Manage WHS reporting systems for internal staff and external contractors, including data analysis and insights to inform risk mitigation strategies
  • Deliver WHS training and awareness initiatives, including newsletters, campaigns, and targeted education programs
  • Collaborate with stakeholders across Homes NSW to embed WHS considerations into operational planning and service delivery
  • Monitor and evaluate WHS project outcomes, providing recommendations for continuous improvement and enhanced safety performance.
