Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are seeking a skilled Senior Project Officer, Grants to manage the development, delivery, and administration of grants and funding programs that support NSW communities.
In this role, you will ensure projects are aligned with best practice frameworks, meet government objectives, and deliver meaningful outcomes. You will be at the heart of project planning, stakeholder engagement, and performance monitoring, ensuring all that is invested drives real change.

You are a confident project manager and grants specialist who thrives in a fast-paced, purpose-driven environment. You will be successful in this role if you bring:

  • Solid understanding of the full grants administration lifecycle—from program design to acquittal.
  • Experience managing complex projects with multiple stakeholders, budgets, and reporting requirements.
  • Strong knowledge of compliance, funding guidelines, and best practice grants management frameworks.
  • Proven ability to plan, implement, and evaluate projects to ensure they’re delivered on time, within scope, and to a high standard.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills to build and maintain stakeholder relationships.
  • A proactive approach to identifying risks, resolving issues, and driving continuous improvement.
  • Experience leading or coordinating project teams to achieve shared goals.
  • Analytical skills to undertake research and provide evidence-based recommendations.
  • A commitment to supporting NSW communities through effective funding and project delivery
