About the role: SafeWork NSW is seeking a proactive risk and business resilience advisor to develop and implement risk management and resilience strategies, tools, and processes across multiple projects and programs. You’ll play a pivotal role in driving an uplift in risk mitigation and business resilience activities (e.g. business continuity management), ultimately enabling successful project delivery, and strengthening organisational capability. Key Responsibilities: Oversee the development and analysis of policies, procedures and standards to improve the quality, accuracy and timeliness of projects and programs focused on risk management, compliance, governance, business continuity and internal audit. Provide advice and recommendations to drive continuous improvement and build organisational capability in risk management, compliance, governance, business continuity and audit. Build and maintain collaborative relationships with stakeholders to support alignment with strategic objectives. Identify and assess risks and opportunities throughout the project lifecycle to ensure proactive management and mitigation. Develop and implement reporting tools and processes to accurately record and communicate risk information. Communicate with stakeholders to ensure understanding of obligations and support informed decision-making. Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of risk management, business resilience and internal audit strategies to ensure timely completion of reviews and controls. About You: To be successful in this role, you will: Demonstrated experience in project and program risk management, business resilience and internal audit within complex, multistakeholder environments. Strong knowledge of risk management, business continuity, compliance, and internal audit frameworks, tools and controls Experience designing and maintaining risk reporting mechanisms and dashboards that drive decision making. Proven ability to influence and engage stakeholders, facilitating consultation and alignment to organisational strategy. Excellent analytical, written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present clear, evidence based recommendations. Sound understanding of project management methodologies and issues management practices. Tertiary qualifications in risk management, engineering, business, public administration or related discipline; or equivalent experience.
