QUALIFICATIONS

  • University degree in a related field.
  • 15+ years’ experience in project scheduling, preferably on mega projects.
  • Advanced expertise with Primavera P6 (mandatory).
  • Strong skills in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Proven ability to communicate effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong knowledge of scheduling principles, earned value methodology, and risk management.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and mentoring skills.
Responsibilities

ROLE OVERVIEW

NB Power is seeking a Senior Project Scheduler to support the development, monitoring, and updating of Level 3 & 4 resource-loaded schedules in Primavera P6. This position involves integrating contractor and consultant schedules, performing schedule risk analysis, identifying delays, and highlighting opportunities to accelerate work. The successful candidate will work independently and collaborate with both internal and external stakeholders.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop and maintain the master integrated project schedule (Levels 3–5) aligned with the project WBS.
  • Ensure all key activities, milestones, and deliverable dates are captured and maintained.
  • Prepare and update the Basis of Schedule documentation.
  • Perform schedule progress updates, ensuring alignment with earned value tracking and scorecard reporting.
  • Support project risk management, including participation in qualitative risk assessments and developing mitigation strategies.
  • Assess and incorporate approved change management impacts into the schedule.
  • Coordinate with contractors and vendors on schedule development, integration, and interface management.
  • Generate “look-ahead” schedules to support project teams.
  • Conduct variance analysis following schedule updates and initiate corrective actions.
  • Track project critical path and provide regular feedback to stakeholders.
  • Mentor and support junior schedulers within the project team.
  • Collaborate with project controls to support cash flow curves and cost forecasting.
  • Develop custom P6 and Excel-based reports for management and stakeholders.
