    The Department of Justice and Community Safety is seeking a Senior Projects Officer, Strategy and Policy to provide a critical role within the Digital Operations Unit.

QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS

  • A tertiary qualification and/or a relevant experience in public policy or criminal justice policy is desirable.
Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE

The Senior Projects Officer, Strategy and Policy reports to the Manager, Digital Operations and is responsible for the development and maintenance of in-cell technology operational policies and preparing high level detailed reports and briefs for CV executives and ministers on a range of significant and sensitive issues.
While the position is based at 121 Exhibition Street Melbourne, flexible work arrangements are available, and you will be required to travel to other locations based on business needs.

Some of your duties will include:

  • Manage operational policy review, amendment, and development relating to in-cell technology.
  • Manage ad hoc tasks and projects relating to the development and amendments of operational policy, such as convening state-wide activity to consider the implementation of legislative or operational changes.
  • Prepare high level detailed briefings and/or reports on policy issues that may involve integrating complex information from a variety of sources with limited direction.

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Knowledge and understanding of Corrections Victoria’s operations, policies and procedures is highly regarded, or similar regulated work environment.
  • Extensive experience in the preparation of high-quality written material along with highly developed information analysis and conceptual thinking.
