About the Role OakPoint Real Estate is seeking a Senior Property Accountant to support our growing portfolio of primarily office assets. This role will take ownership of the full-cycle accounting process for a portfolio of approximately 10 properties, working closely with property management and portfolio management teams to ensure accurate, timely financial reporting. This is a high-impact role with direct exposure to U.S.-based leadership and an opportunity to grow within a dynamic real estate investment firm. The position is fully remote and will be hired through our offshore partner, Hire5. Key Responsibilities Own the full-cycle property accounting process for a portfolio of ~10 office assets Lead the monthly close process, including journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements Perform bank and general ledger reconciliations Maintain accurate financial records within Yardi Voyager Support cash management activities, including initiating wires (no approval authority) Partner with AR/AP team to ensure accurate and timely transaction processing Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis Collaborate with property management and portfolio management teams Support audit, lender, and investor reporting as needed Identify opportunities to improve processes and efficiencies Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field 3+ years of property accounting experience, preferably in commercial real estate Hands-on experience with Yardi Voyager (strongly preferred) Solid understanding of U.S. GAAP and real estate accounting principles Strong proficiency in Excel High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple properties simultaneously Ability to work independently in a remote, international environment Strong written and verbal English communication skills What We’re Looking For A proactive, detail-oriented accountant who can own the close process independently Someone comfortable working across teams, including property management and portfolio management Interest in leveraging technology and AI tools to improve workflows and efficiency Work Schedule Must maintain at least 50% overlap with U.S. business hours (9 am - 5 pm Central Time) What We Offer Long-term, stable role with a growing real estate investment firm Direct exposure to leadership and opportunity for advancement Flexible remote work environment The Selection Process Fill in the application form — attach your CV Have a Zoom interview with Hire5 Recruiter Intro & Fit Interview with one of the managing partners Practical test assignment (2 hours max, final-stage only) Get hired!
