Your opportunity
As Senior Property Accountant, you will manage the key management reporting functions of the Asset’s financials, and partner with key stakeholders to provide timely financial information and critical analysis to drive business decisions. This includes assistance with monthly Actuals, Half Year and Year End reporting requirements as well as taking ownership for the integrity of the data.
This role is a 12 month max term contract with opportunity for longer term extension.

Responsibilities

Business Partnering; Collaborate with Asset Management Operations to enhance user experience and ensure finance process engagement, providing monthly guidance and support for efficient forecasting and business planning.
People; Support a high-performing finance team by collaborating across divisions, and provide mentorship to new employees and junior accountants.
Business Unit Performance; Provide accurate financial information, manage month-end processes, deliver management reporting, and assist with budgeting, forecasting and asset transitions to support financial objectives.
Reporting & Analysis; Review and ensure accuracy of monthly P&L and Balance Sheets, deliver management reporting and produce ad-hoc analyses and reports for stakeholders.
Financial Control; Ensure robust financial controls, identify improvement opportunities and liaise with offshore teams to optimise performance management.
Continuous Improvement; Drive process improvements, streamline reporting and share best practices across the finance team to enhance efficiency and data accuracy.
Your point of difference
To be successful, you will have prior accounting experience in the property industry, with strong business partnering skills to collaborate effectively with stakeholders across the business. You are degree qualified in Finance, Business or Commerce along with a CPA/CFA or CA qualification. Strong Excel skills and experience managing actuals, budgets, forecast and variance reporting is a must. You are proactive and self-motivated when it comes to problem solving, and possess strong analytical and technical accounting skills.
