What You'll Be Doing Prepare and review complex bank reconciliations for multiple properties. Partner closely with Property Managers and Regional Managers to resolve issues and support operational and financial objectives. Monitor revenue and expense activity; research discrepancies and implement corrective actions. Maintain and interpret property cashflow analyses to ensure proper funding and financial health. Prepare, review, and post journal entries in accordance with GAAP and internal policy. Reconcile account balances to supporting schedules; identify, investigate, and resolve variances. Review, analyze, and prepare monthly financial statements for a portfolio of properties. Monitor uncashed checks over 90 days and complete unclaimed property compliance requirements. Enter and review invoices on a limited basis to ensure accurate coding and financial integrity. Support onboarding and offboarding of properties, including financial setup, transition planning, and execution. Oversee property tax and insurance processes for assigned assets, ensuring accuracy and timely management. Prepare year-end financial packages and supporting schedules for tax reporting. Respond to audit requests by preparing documentation, explanations, and financial analyses. Onboard, train, mentor, and upskill property accountants to elevate team performance. Serve as a key liaison between operations and accounting, translating operational activities into accurate financial reporting. Authorize management fee collections and coordinate payment of corporate obligations. Provide administrative and technical support to property accountants to resolve complex accounting issues. Assist in developing and refining procedures to enhance accuracy, efficiency, and operational alignment. Communicate directly with clients to address accounting inquiries, provide clarity, and ensure service excellence. Coordinate client distribution calculations and disbursements. Evaluate property cash positions and approve invoice payments based on available cash and financial priorities. Requirements Requirements A bachelor’s degree in accounting or a closely related field is required. Minimum 3-5?years’ experience?in property management and accounting?preferred. A general real estate background is?helpful,?multifamily experience is a plus.? Knowledge of?Generally?Accepted?Accounting?Principles?(GAAP)? Experience with Yardi software?and Adobe Acrobat are?a plus.? Strong written and oral communication skills in a business environment.? Ability to work well under pressure, with daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly deadlines.? Well-developed organizational skills.??? Ability to prioritize duties and meet deadlines.? Ability to work?and lead?successfully as part of a team environment.? Excellent interpersonal skills and a service-oriented background and mentality?
