POSITION OVERVIEW

We’re looking for a Residential Property Manager to lead the day-to-day operations of our residential portfolio located in the heart of Halifax, NS. You’ll be responsible for ensuring properties are well-maintained, tenants are supported, finances are managed efficiently, and staff are empowered to succeed. This is a hands-on leadership role requiring a balance of operational know-how and people skills.

Responsibilities

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Property & Operations Management
  • Oversee the daily operations of multi-residential properties, ensuring they are clean, safe, and well-maintained
  • Manage maintenance issues in collaboration with internal teams and external vendors
  • Ensure units are rent-ready and minimize vacancy times through efficient leasing practices
  • Conduct regular property inspections and identify improvement opportunities
  • Monitor and maintain compliance with all building codes and safety standards

WHAT YOU BRING TO THE ROLE

  • 5+ years of experience managing multiple residential properties
  • Proven leadership experience in a fast-paced property management setting
  • Familiarity with building systems such as HVAC, heating, sprinklers, and building envelopes
  • Strong budgeting, financial reporting, and analytical skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); Yardi experience is an asset
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving abilities
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle required
